Hi Everyone

Wow where did February go?   It’s been 4-weeks since my Home Boutique Studio has been open and I am delighted that I have 5 permanent clients that entrust me with my knowledge ~ thank-you so much (you know who you are)

This is my first monthly newsletter to give my clients and new clients a way of understanding Pilates more and getting them passionate about their health and wellbeing. 

As Joseph Pilates said, “ In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 you’ll see the difference, and in 30 you’ll have a new body”

 

My story…. I took Pilates every day for a month – and was shocked by the physical and mental results.

Last year in March in Melbourne we had Covid lock us out of our offices (& Pilates Studio) to our 4-walls of our homes, which went on for 6mths.   This was my opportunity to escalate my studies in Pilates and absorb as much knowledge as possible to be the best of the best at what I love to do and yes thats Pilates.

So, whilst holding down a full-time job, doing online classes for my fabulous work colleagues to help them cope with sitting on their butts all day, I learnt that wow…. Pilates is powerful.  Not only for your physique but your Mind & Soul.  I devoured my learnings and pushed myself to see if this really does work.  And yes, you guessed it, it surely does!!

But like anything, your mindset needs to be ready to take on any form of exercise, diet and even building friendships (being human is actually very challenging)

So, Hubby and I became Vegan, I pumped up my Pilates and got results….FAST!  But we all know that everything in moderation right.  I had to do my consulting full-time job, and fit this in.  Plus, try to finalise all of my studies.  But I can say IF you put your mind to anything it can be done. YOU and only you have the power to do it. Timing I believe is everything, Mind, Body & Soul it’s a combo.

Here are some pointers to get the most out of your Pilates sessions & aftercare:

  • Ensure you have an Initial Consult with your Instructor so we can understand what your body has done and is doing.

  • Have your Mindset ready to give it the dedication it needs ~ form new habits (Diet, Posture etc)

  • No pain no gain ~ same principle applies in my classes; difference is I know when to push and not too push.

  • Get the best value out of your sessions by doing your homework cards PLEASE (this is a must if you want to progress and get results faster) I need to progress you and push you so you feel like your getting your value for money.

  • Do extra stretches, this will release the soreness and keep your muscles in peak condition

  • Try and do at least two-session for the 1st 4weeks then re-assess then do one-session. This depends on your goals and what you are wanting to achieve within a certain timeframe.

  • This sounds like a bore but pull back on the stuff that gives you a “quick-fix” smoking, alcohol and yes sugar.  I said pull back not cut-out if it is too hard. But these things will hindrance your goal.

So,  I would love to help anyone who would like to Feel good, look good and really understand their body ~ like able to talk to it almost.  Being long and strong is powerful and relieves anxiety so what do you have to lose absolutely nothing ~ I guarantee you will see and feel the difference after 20 sessions
